  • Name of the Project: Techniques Adoption and Formulation of Guidelines for Sustainable Management of Haor and Beel Fisheries. Duration of the project: July 2018 to June 2021. The project sponsored by GOB, IDA & IFAD funded NATP-2 project of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council. Act as Principal Investigator.
  • Name of the project: Adaptation of nutrient rich endangered small fish species dhela (Osteobrama cotio) in pond aquaculture. Project duration: July 2018 to December 2019. Funded by Sylhet Agricultural University Research System (SAURES). Act as Principal Investigator.
  • Name of the project: Improvement of Teaching Learning Facilities at Undergraduate and Graduate Level in the Faculty of Fisheries of Sylhet Agricultural University. Project duration May 2017 to September 2018. The project is financed by World Bank through Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) of University Grants Commission, Bangladesh. Act as Principal Investigator.
  • Name of the project: Characterization of fishers’ community in the Meghna River Basin, Bangladesh. Project duration was 12 months from May 2015 to April 2016. It was a collaborative research with ECOFISHBD project of WorldFish and funded by USAID. Act as Principal Investigator. Act as Principal Investigator.
  • Name of the project: Impact of ban on harvest of hilsa during peak breeding period in the Meghna River Basin, Bangladesh. The study was conducted during 1 October to 31 December 2014. It was a collaborative research with ECOFISH project of WorldFish and funded by USAID. Act as Principal Investigator.
  • Name of the research project: Enhancement of Nutrient Rich Endangered Small Fish Dhela (Osteobrama cotio) in the Haor Region of Bangladesh. Project duration was 24 months from July 2014 to June 2016. Funded by: Ministry of Science and Technology. Two MS students were employed as research assistant in the project. Act as Principal Investigator.
  • Name of the research project: Comparison of production performance and economics between mono sex and mixed sex tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). Project duration was 06 months from August 2013 to January 2014. Funded by: Sylhet Agricultural University Research System (SAURES). One MS student was employed as research assistant in the project. Act as Principal Investigator.
  • Name of the Project: Nursing of Improved Tilapia Fry Using Cages in Wetlands Involving Women in Poor Fishers’ Households in the Northeastern Region of Bangladesh. Research duration: May to October 2013. Funded by Small Fish & Nutrition Project of WorldFish. Two MS student was employed as research assistant.Act as Principal Investigator.
  • Name of the research project: Factors Affecting the Wetland Biodiversity in the Haor Region of Bangladesh. Project duration was 08 months from May 2013 to December 2013. Funded by: Bangladesh Fisheries Research Forum (BFRF). One MS student was employed as research assistant in the project. Act as Principal Investigator.
  • Name of the research project: Promotion of mola (Amblypharyngodon mola) and freshwater prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) culture integrated with rice in farmers field and its livelihood impacts. Project duration was 22 months from 15 July 2006 to 20 May 2008. Funded by: International Foundation for Science (IFS), Sweden. Three research studies were carried out from this project. One research assistant and one field assistant was employed and 24 farmers were involved in this research project. Financial management of the project was done by me. Act as Principal Investigator.
